It somewhat amazes me that after X years, there's still so much confusion about consensus and especially Proof-of-Stake vs Proof-of-Work.
There's also some confusion about finalization, so without further ado, let's dive in to clarify (or maybe confuse more). First, by PoW I mostly mean btc and similar networks, and Proof-of-Stake described below refers mostly to NEM and Symbol - as it might not work the same way in some other PoS "flavors".
