The Training Course on "Extremism and Counter Terrorism" in collaboration with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and with assistance from @MofaJapan_en begins today at Islamic Centre Conference Room. @MofaJapan_en During the welcoming remarks made by the Director General of NCTC, he has highlighted the critical need of such workshops and there is a need for innovative and proactive approaches in combating radicalization and extremism.

Workshop on "The Role of Senior Educators in Preventing & Countering Extremism" commences in G. Dh. Thinadhoo. 34 participants from 11 schools in the atoll are attending this one-day workshop. Minister of State for Education Ahmed Riyaz officiated the opening session. In his opening remarks, he mentioned the key role of senior educators in prevention of the spread of extremism and radicalization in school systems.
