The Rolling Fork/Silver City tornado has received a preliminary EF-4 rating. We still have a great amount of information to process, and we will provide additional details on this tornado as they are finalized. Special thanks to our friends from @PERiLS_Project for their assistance with today's damage surveys. Without their help and expertise, it would not have been possible to cover so much ground.

Recent heavy rains have lead to flooding of numerous rivers across the area. This thread and subsequent threads will take a look at river flooding impacts across our region. We'll start by taking a look at the Pearl River first. ImageImageImageImage The Pearl River at Jackson is expected to crest at 36 ft early next week. Flooding of streets will be likely in Jackson and water may begin to approach homes and businesses as we near the crest this weekend into early next week. Image
