NEWS: Governor Cuomo just signed legislation giving all New York voters the option to vote by mail this fall.

The lead up to a General Election is a critical opportunity to register new voters. But in 2020, there has been a steep dive in voter registration. 🧵
Manhattan: ⬇️62%
Bronx: ⬇️59%
Brooklyn: ⬇️56%
Queens: ⬇️50%
Staten Island: ⬇️36%
Right now, over 750,000 New York City residents are unable to register to vote online because they lack a valid DMV number. This is a barrier for many eligible voters, including young people and New Americans. 2/
