NEWS: Governor Cuomo just signed legislation giving all New York voters the option to vote by mail this fall.

To vote by mail, you must request an absentee ballot.
You can select the reason as “Temporary illness or disability” due to the risk of contracting the coronavirus. 2/

The lead up to a General Election is a critical opportunity to register new voters. But in 2020, there has been a steep dive in voter registration. 🧵
Manhattan: ⬇️62%
Bronx: ⬇️59%
Brooklyn: ⬇️56%
Queens: ⬇️50%
Staten Island: ⬇️36%
Right now, over 750,000 New York City residents are unable to register to vote online because they lack a valid DMV number. This is a barrier for many eligible voters, including young people and New Americans. 2/
