In light of the DOJ announcing USAID people pleading guilty to hundreds of millions of dollars-worth of fraud, here are some interesting anecdotes about USAID from my personal experience.
A thread— For context, I voted for Trump to do exactly what he’s doing—clean house.
I believed our gov agencies were corrupt/saturated w/ fraud but didn’t know firsthand.
In fact, my assumption was that while the organization was probably corrupt, the people were probably good.
