AFTERNOON THREAD: We are back in the courtroom. Spotted Rexburg Police Det. Ray Hermosillo in the lobby waiting area. Lori filed a motion weeks ago asking that he not be allowed to testify. Judge denied it. Last time Hermosillo testified was in Chad Daybell's April 2024 trial in Boise, Idaho. Beresky is on the bench. Lori is at her table with the defense team. Treena Kay, her paralegal and Det. Pillar are at the prosecutor's table. Judge asks for jury to be brought in.

Tammy Daybell’s cousin is attending the trial today. She brought these cookies with a message printed on the wrapper. Judge Beresky is on the bench. Lori and her team are at the defense table. Prosecution is at their table. Judge says we will proceed with Det. Pillar on the witness stand.

Back in the courtroom for day 3 of Lori Vallow Daybell's Arizona trial. Gilbert Det. Ryan Pillar will be back on the stand this morning with Maricopa County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Treena Kay questioning him. Brandon and Jenny Boudreaux are in the courtroom with other family members. Kay Woodcock is also here. One of the biggest days we've seen as far as public turnout. Every seat is full. People began lining up outside at 5:30 a.m.

AFTERNOON THREAD: Judge is back on the bench. In relation to the email Lori wants to ask Brandon about, judge tells her the specific question she can ask. And the state can follow up with another specific question. Beresky says Lori has opened the door to an extent and the state can ask about communication Brandon had with Pillar about another case (referring to Melanie's). Lori is writing down the question. Jurors are brought in. Lori will continue her cross.

Day 2 of Lori Vallow Daybell's Arizona Boudreaux trial. I'm back in the courtroom. Light numbers today. Only four people on the media row. Around 20 members of the public. Judge's assistant came out into the lobby and asked if any family members are here for the defense. Nobody is. Nobody has shown up for the defense in any of the Arizona or Idaho trials. Prosecutor Treena Kay is in the courtroom with her paralegal and Det. Pillar. No sign of anyone from the defense team.

AFTERNOON THREAD: Back in the courtroom. As I was walking through security, Lori's paralegal was behind me carrying blouses, other outfits that are presumably for Lori. I should note that after this morning's hearing, Lori walked out of the courtroom - she did not need to be wheeled out. Brandon and Jenny Boudreaux just walked in with their victim advocate. Kay Woodcock is also in the courtroom.

Waiting outside the courtroom. Robert Abernethy, one of Lori Vallow Daybell's advisory attorneys, just walked into the defense room. Proceedings are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Arizona time. We are in the courtroom. Lori is at the defense table with her paralegal and attorney. Treena Kay is at the prosecutor's table.

Just walked in the courtroom. Judge is telling Lori that sometimes things need to proceed when we are feeling unwell. They are discussing "tank orders." Judge asks Lori what symptoms she is having. Nausea, chills, headache, she responds. Judge asks Lori if she would be willing to have one of her advisory counsel finish voir dire.

Back in the courtroom. Jury selection continues in Lori Vallow Daybell's trial. Yesterday 66 potential jurors advanced from a group of 295. #daybell Today's group of jurors did not fill out the e-questionnaire. They showed up at the courthouse today as walk-ins. Judge Beresky has read through 12 jurors so far. Many of them don't speak or understand English. Others have hardships. So far, none of the 12 have advanced.

Back in Judge Justin Beresky's Maricopa County courtroom. Jury selection will begin this afternoon in Lori Vallow Daybell's final trial. There was a hearing earlier today in front of another judge regarding Daybell's motion to have Beresky removed from the case. You can watch that here. Lori just walked in wearing an orange jail uniform. Her hair is curled and noticeably lighter. She smiled and said a few words to her advisory counsel. Beresky is now on the bench.

We are in the courtroom for day 1 of Lori Vallow Daybell's conspiracy to commit murder trial. Around 15-20 reporters/media are here. The public is filing here. One lady just asked if she could stand or sit on the floor. Court staff say that isn't allowed.

Back in the courtroom after an extended lunch. Potential jurors will begin filing in shortly for in-person questioning. Judge Justin Beresky wants 12 jurors and four alternates. Lori just walked in with a big smile. She's wearing a black dress suit with a pink blouse and is holding her paperwork.

This is a much larger courtroom compared to previous Daybell hearings. The seats are padded and, personal opinion, much more comfortable than the benches in Ada County.

LIVE UPDATES: We are back in the courtroom. The bailiff reminds everyone that recording and taking photos in the hallway of the courthouse is not allowed. Three people in line were apparently recording or take selfies this morning. The bailiff says this goes against the guidelines in the courthouse administrative order and anyone doing this is in contempt of court. He reminds everyone to turn their phones off and not whisper during the trial today. #ChadDaybell

NEW THREAD: We're back in the courtroom. Prosecutors and defense are at their tables and Boyce is on the bench. Jurors are in their seats. Next witness is Asmir Kararic - at investigator with the Idaho Attorney General's Office. Kararic originally worked on the case after former Fremont County Prosecutor Marcia Murdoch asked the AG to take over. When Lindsey Blake was elected, she asked for the case back and the AG was no longer involved.

It's day 27 of Chad Daybell's murder trial. The first person in line this morning, a man from Provo, Utah, got here at 4:05 a.m. I arrived at the courthouse around 5:30 a.m. Far less people here today compared to yesterday but most of the benches will still be full. #ChadDaybell Joseph Murray, Chad's son-in-law, will be back on the stand first thing this morning. NEW THREAD: Joseph Murray, Emma's husband, is called to the stand. #ChadDaybell Joseph says he and Emma have been married for seven years. They have three children, including a newborn. Prior asks how many times he and Joseph spoke or met before last night. Joseph says just once on the phone for about five minutes.
