This is by no means a knock against Dieter, whom I appreciate, but I am accidentally asking you to buckle in with me for a story, because I think I have some useful domain insight hereā¦and it is paired with just a touch of massive tremendous failure, so thatās always fun.
When I was in college, in early 2013 or thereabouts, I was briefly what I can only hope to describe as a ātechnical cofounderā on a project that sought to build a distributed Twitter or Tumblr clone, but one built on the idea that interaction should be more meaningful.

I have spent a good chunk of time messing with what is publicly available of both, and at this point, I feel pretty confident that Combine and combine-like techniques aren't going anywhere as a way of handling complex concurrent tasks.
Combine and reactive in general excel when you aren't dealing with just a value that gets delivered, you have a whole chain of events that takes place, sometimes across multiple queues, relying on several different things.
Representing that in one clear place is huge.

@vivianphung This is bad advice. Impostor syndrome is not just feeling a little like you donāt belong, itās also often a result of being someone who has been traditionally alienated from a certain kind of work environment.
Itās victim blaming those people and telling them theyāre selfish.
@vivianphung Doubting yourself doesnāt help your team. Thatās true. But ādonāt doubt yourself, thatās selfishā is not the way to help someone out of that pattern of thinking. Guilt and shame donāt motivate people to do better, they put people in ruts and cycles of more guilt and shame.
