I have spent a good chunk of time messing with what is publicly available of both, and at this point, I feel pretty confident that Combine and combine-like techniques aren't going anywhere as a way of handling complex concurrent tasks.

Different solutions to different problems. Combine and reactive in general excel when you aren't dealing with just a value that gets delivered, you have a whole chain of events that takes place, sometimes across multiple queues, relying on several different things.

Representing that in one clear place is huge.

@vivianphung This is bad advice. Impostor syndrome is not just feeling a little like you don’t belong, it’s also often a result of being someone who has been traditionally alienated from a certain kind of work environment.

It’s victim blaming those people and telling them they’re selfish. @vivianphung Doubting yourself doesn’t help your team. That’s true. But “don’t doubt yourself, that’s selfish” is not the way to help someone out of that pattern of thinking. Guilt and shame don’t motivate people to do better, they put people in ruts and cycles of more guilt and shame.

Something so deeply Nathan just happened to me that you are not even allowed to know about it unless you can text me. Here’s a hint: It involves too much tea, no food, a mild sense of nausea, a rain slicker, and someone who I’m 80% sure was Ken Case from The Omni Group.
