Margazhi starts from today!
During our Christmas holidays, I would ask my grandmother "Why are you waking us up at 4 am, to bath & go to Perumal Temple?"
She would say "To have Pongal prasadam!" That was enough for us! But today I know the significance of waking up early during this month and the importance of Margazhi period.
