Reality of IITs🔶

Myth : Nehru had given the idea of IITs.

Reality: The idea of IITs were firstly purposed by Ardeshir Dalal even before independence. (1/8) From 1951 to 1961, in total 5 IITs were setup.

In next 30 years congress govt. never realise that india need more IITs.

Due to which student agitation in Assam forced Rajiv Gandhi to set up new IIT in guwahati.

Almost after 34 years, in 1995 , IIT Guwahati started.
