(Re)-reading Dostoevsky's Demons.
Am struck by how relevant and contemporary it is.
Just imagine the characters wearing jeans and using social media instead of printing manifestoes and it's all happening today. Only difference being that instead of Russia it is now worldwide. 2/ It is interesting that, in the novel, the revolutionaries ( the "demons") brought their anti-Christian ideas into Russia from Switzerland.
For it is from Switzerland that Lenin arrived in Russia to stage the revolution.
And it is Switzerland where Davos is.

Ukraine as a testing ground for things to come everywhere? Ukrainian Parliament just passed Bill 4142, probably the most draconian health law on the planet at this time.
Any "infection carrier" (not limited to covid) can now be legally banned from attending work or school.
1/2/ This also applies to anybody in contact with infected people and those who refuse medical exams or vaccinations.
Once again, this is not limited to covid, but applies to any infection deceases.
Those who are infected already must undergo prescribed treatment and comply with...
