FG has unveiled a reusable textbook policy to reduce education costs, improve learning outcomes, and promote sustainability through durable, high-quality textbooks and stronger quality assurance. The policy mandates standardized textbooks lasting 4–6 years, prohibits disposable workbooks, enables reuse across sessions, allows sibling sharing, and significantly lowers recurring costs for parents.

, noted that most ASUU concerns have been addressed, including improved allowances and service conditions, with remaining matters before governing councils. Government urges ASUU to return to dialogue in the interest of students, stressing that the “no work, no pay” policy remains an extant labour law guiding accountability in public institutions.
