It is disturbing to yet again see the main focus of the discourse on this website center around “are Jews that call for more police ‘Bad Jews’?” And whether Jews have a right to be scared…
Rather than: “HOLY CRAP, IT HAPPENED AGAIN! SOCIETY HAS FAILED TO PROTECT MINORITIES”
Yea, you who live in a costal liberal enclave can work out a plan with volunteers & knowable response times and be able leave the police off stage
But the “out of towners”: the only viable protection are police.

My mission since leaving my former faith has been to get other zionist Jews to understand the existential threat of letting the Christian Right define America’s relationship to Israel and the parameters of Jews’ relationship to Israel. I’m sad to be proven correct.
Make no mistake: he is laying claim to *Jewish liberation* itself and telling YOU, ME, AND OUR RABBIS which Jewish are “klal” and who is “chutz l’machane” based on Christian goals for eretz Israel. That’s what’s happening: stare it in the face.
