Aha... if we'd continued on the industrialisation trajectory of previous gov, manufacturing, industry, enterprise, would pay debts. Loans were taken to build mega infrastructure to facilitate industrialisation. But alas! Bottom up feckery & social experiments. And your EGO! This is why continuity is critical for development. A democratic model that allows for change of leadership every 5 years is disruptive, doesn't allow for long-term term planning, and quite frankly not something we Africans can afford.

Africa in perpetual planning, goal setting, future agenda, phase. For the last 50 years. Economic development, universal healthcare, democracy etc is not our portion. How many NGOs, Aid organisations, development partners etc, have we had ... and still. This shit is deliberate. The Marshall plan sorted out Europe in 4 years. 4 years! Countries that had been flattened in the war rebuilt complex infrastructure in 4 years!

I think the mwindis have paid Nabii required bribe or given shares for market not to be flooded with imported oil. Now MK is left with a shit load of oil or contract obligations. And Ruto is washing his hands clean of the initial deal to flood the market. Bidco. Et al

On refinement, luos take the biscuit. Their culture somehow amplifies unspoken social conventions and etiqutte. On maturity, Kikuyus reign. Basic, blunt, auntetic. On there art of war, Kalenjins wear that crown. On business acumen, succession planning included, the Indian community rule that arena. On living life as you want, how you want and based on experiences and not materialistic stuff, mzungus of KE have that down to a T.

Boys 2 Men did a great job in framing love/romance. Men knew that they had to work to get a girl. 'Girl your wish is my command I submit to your demands. I will do anything, girl you need only ask'
Last generation of real men.
Life imitates art. During this period, R&B music, with its soulful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, explored themes of love, relationships &societal dynamics, capturing the essence of romantic experiences and the complexities of gender interactions.

If we approach the topic from a historical perspective, you'll find The Greensteds, Turis and Pembrokes etc were established to educate the children of the British colonial settlers in Kenya. These schools served to ensure kids of the colonial elite received an education that aligned with British values, traditions & educational standards. Aim was to provide continuity with the education system in Britain & maintain a British cultural identity among colonial community

Show me a person between 35 & 55 & I'll tell you which school they went to. Turi, Greensteds, Banda, Hilcrest, Pembroke, Peponi. Even in the lower tiers I can tell. Saints, Msogangari, Imani, St Austins. Even lower than that I can tell, Patch, lenana, alliance, Mangu, Starehe. We'll start with the lower tier. These institutions each had their own ethos, raison d'etre, identity. Mangu for instance, focused on academic excellence. Particularly in the sciences. Their boys are well adjusted, slightly boring, but disciplined across all aspects. Polite too.

In KE we meddle with systems and are surprised when there's repercussions. Democracy, as a system has checks and balances, opposition, separation of powers, media, civil service. Ruto has meddled with the system in buying out all opposition & is now unhappy about demonstrations. People are not going to the streets because of Raila, but because there is no other avenues to air their grievances. You meddled with the system. Raila now has support of all your disgruntled hustlers. Which is many.

Hapo kwa spin doctor 101, you are taught about dominant discourse. Framing national conversations with what might deflect from what actually matters. Tax talk is attempting to dominate the real issue, which is rising cost of living. And its the president driving that narrative. Instead of resolving the actual issue at hand, with policy, strategy, initiatives etc., we are being distracted by this tax talk. This my friends, is politics, not leadership.

Exposure is everything. If you get the chance, live outside the country for a few years. If you can, take your kids to uni abroad. There's no substitute for exposure and no other way to experience life through another lense other than cultural immersion.

Think Nabii is running a class devide campaign. Poor folk not getting services will blame rich folk for not paying their taxes. Typical electioneering politics. Soon you'll hear hospitals shutting down, gov schools closing, insecurity on the rise.. reason? Rich folk not paying their taxes.

All this tax talk. No country has ever taxed itself out of poverty, let alone into development. Only industrialisation can take Kenya to the next level. Nothing else. Nothing. If anything GoK should be creating tax incentives for foreign investors to set up plants here. If we felt where our taxes are going, we'd willingly pay. But I have to pay for education, security, healthcare... whilst my taxes go to Sakaja's helicopter rides, and Karen Nyamu salary for tickets to Dubai. Herein lies the reluctance to pay and thus KRA feeling like the enemy.

David Ndii quackness slowly unravelling. He's a hoax. Clueless. Nutty professor testing his delusional theories on an entire nation. Ruto has cottoned on, but has no plan B. Other than Monica Juma, and Rebecca Miano, I don't think anyone around Ruto actually knows anything about running a country. Righy G solutions for alcohol ism in centro are makeshift and primitive. Our governors are throwing parties for the county instead of dealing with garbage.

"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" was used by missionaries to encourage Africans to be submissive/obedient to colonisers. Idea was, if they were meek & obedient, they would be rewarded in the afterlife. Same goes for when men say they want a humble woman. I have seen humble women suffer at the hands of abusive partners. Submissive women subjected to violence. Quiet women cheated on and destroyed emotionally. So don't buy into that bullshit that men like humble women. Just be you, how you are, who you are, what you are. Authentic.

I think men have become obsolete as 'men' in the traditional sense. They should now just work on being decent human beings. Wars are fought with drones, women are financially empowered, heck with Dolly the sheep, even spermatozoa is unnecessary for the survival of the species. This realisation is what is driving the growing trend of toxic masculinity. As the bid to regain their status, and anchor themselves in society as the dominant gender intensifies, violence against women is on the rise. Verbally, sexually and physically.
