This is a man whose own region’s children were raped on an industrial scale – and who, the report shows, did not grip it.

Social services took a raped child and drove her back to the exact farm where it happened. Destroyed the evidence. Then put her in a home staffed entirely by men, where it happened again.

Around 87% of those convicted in group cases bore distinctively Muslim names. Far above their share of the population.
