Young trans people in England+Wales need you. The new service specification for gender dysphoria services for children and young people is an abuser's charter. Please, please take part in the consulation. engage.england.nhs.uk/specialised-co… When I say the new @NHSEngland service spec for trans children and adolescents is an abuser's charter, I mean that it is written in a way that will encourage professionals to doubt young people, prevent them from coming out, and enrol them in research without their consent.

This is mind-boggling unethical behaviour by the Cass Review and Government.

People who obtained Gender Recognition Certificates with the knowledge that their personal information would be protected. Non-consensually enrolling these individuals into research is appalling. A good thing for healthcare researchers to do right now is find out where elements of the Cass Review (several independent research projects) are getting ethical approval from, and writing to these ethics boards and their institutions to head off any gross breach of protocol.
