→ The second is Symbolization, when we give names to those classifications like Jew and Aryan, Hutu and Tutsi, Turk and Armenian, Bengali and Pashtun. Sometimes the symbols are physical, like the Nazi yellow star.

The human mind was developed over millions of years to be the smartest thing on the planet, we were smart enough to create sattelites that show the entire full planet, and you want me to use that to memorize a flat depiction of 50 weirdly shaped places that are barely connected
the human mind also developed to remember things it USES, aside from schooling how often have you needed to use a non labeled map of the united states? I’m gonna guess every few years at most.
