- Al Dhira -

Al Dhira means "The Forearm", and occurs between 17°08'34" in the sign of Gemini. It is the name for the two pairs of stars α and β Canis Minoris (Procyon and Gomeisa) and α and β Geminorum (Castor and Pollux). The attribution assigned to it is "The Throne". ImageImageImage The previous manzil announced the completion of the forms - the Divine, from the realm of non-Essence, potential, and Desire for self-manifestation, moves lower towards forms, and finally establishes the Throne, as the locus of manifestation of Rulership. Music to fantasise being a Sanremo Diva in 70's to:

Quando apro gli occhi
E tu non sei con me
Mi sento sola perché
Tu non hai capito
Che cos'è per me
L'amore mio per te.

We're not those kind of freaks, amen
Up there they're drinking down the day
They try to keep the dark at bay
Down here the darkness stays

The hungry crocodiles are dancing in the light
But what's up there besides the darkness of the night?

The reason why ASMR videos are so popular is because we have been alienated from healthy sensory experience, true intimacy & genuine connection. Senses are the only way to be present & to get out of the mental noise, yet, so often we use them to escape awareness, not ground it. We binge on food, on drink, on TV Shows, on sex, and as a result, we become only even more alienated from ourselves - entering a loop that has no ending. ASMR is grounding sensuality - often sound and imitation of touch, done in such a way you must pay attention.

- Thread: Lunar Mansions & Symbolic Cosmology -

In this thread, I'll explore concept of lunar mansions based mostly off Ibn Arabi's cosmology, in which he explains whole process of Non-Manifest becoming Manifest. I'll make short digressions for comparison to other systems. ImageImage Lunar mansion is a segment of the ecliptic through which the Moon passes in its orbit around the Earth. The concept was used by several ancient cultures as part of their calendrical system. The zodiac is divided into 27 or 28 segments relative to the vernal equinox point. Image

The world we live in, particularly in the West, has been cut off from the conscious archetypal ground. There is nothing to hold the Self, so whenever a crisis happens, the Self does not know how to come back from the Underworld. There is no myth, no transformation, no initiation. Jung calls this kind of individual suffering: "The overweening pride of individual consciousness, which
must necessarily collide with the eternal truths and lead to the catastrophic destruction of the individual."

Tibetan figurines of Narodakini.

She no longer appears in pantheon but she was said to be an emanation of Vajrayogini, as iconography is similar. Crown of five skulls represents her transformation of the five aspects of selfhood into the five insights of a Buddha. Her freely flowing hair is a sign that her mind, free from grasping, is a flowing stream of nonconceptuality. Her garland of fifty severed heads symbolizes her purification of of language and thought. Her bone ornaments represent five of the six perfections of a bodhisattva.

- The Destructive Feminine -

One of the most common metaphysical concept (or archetypes) that appears across cultures is the one of the destructive feminine. Important to notice that no metaphysics sees it as manifesting only in women or men, usually it is embodied in both. The reason why it is associated with feminine is because in our embodied existence it is usually the female that is the creator, & therefore also the destroyed (Shiva is the male deity of same principle). Deep in our psyche, we associate creation & destruction.

- Dodola Custom in the Balkans -

Dodola, Paparuda or Preperuša is a pagan tradition that still exists in the Balkans. It can be found among South Slavs, but also among Romanians, Albanians, & northen Greeks. It is a rain ritual related to Dodola, Slavic goddess of rain. The central character is usually an orphan girl, the last child born after the death of father or the last girl of the mother. The girl wears a skirt made of knitted vines and branches. She goes around the village, singing before each door, while hosts sprinkle water at her.

- Archetypes in Branding & Marketing: A Thread -

Archetypes can manifest in individuals, but they can also manifest in collectives: in ideas, in images. They are used in literature, film, and also branding. In this thread I'll go through each 12 archetypes defined by Jung. The 12 archetypes all have their own goals and motives, but there are four categories in which they can be grouped:

1. Those that seek to provide a structure.
2. Those that seek paradise.
3. Those that seek to leave a mark.
4. Those that seek connection.

God Archetypes - A Thread

My goddess archetypes thread was loved by many so I decided to do the same for masculine archetypes. Every once in a while, I shall post some notes about a specific male deity. Most of it will be based on Jungians such as Jung, Campbell, Shinoda etc. Image When we categorise male archetypes, often we can place them in two categories and those are "fathers" and "sons". Fathers are patriarchal, strong, power-driven gods who seek authority and rulership. Sons are the creative, complex types, who often seek self expression. ImageImage

Goddess Archetypes - A Thread

In Jungian psychoanalysis archetype represent universal, archaic symbols that exist in collective psyche. For example, we can observe certain archetypes - Mother, Trickster, Warrior in stories and myths of almost any culture. Image Using archetypes for a personal journey or personal psychoanalysis can be extremely useful because very often what we consider fate are those archetypal patterns playing out. In this thread I will focus on female archetypes and how they can be relevant for women and their lives.
