1/ The curious timing of Susan Rice's 15-minutes-after "Regret" email. I've puzzled to understand the timing of this - well, let's call it, unusually worded, email ever since I read it. Thomas Wictor's illuminating thread does a masterful job of explaining what Rice was up to. 2/ But the timing still didn't make sense - until you recall the events of 9/8/74. On that day, President Gerald Ford granted a Pardon to his predecessor Richard Nixon, for all crimes that he "has committed, or may have have committed or taken part in".
