The conversion therapy bill (from Westminster, but watch out for Holyrood piling in) surprisingly seems to be based on "evidence" of widespread attempts to change people's sexuality & gender identity. From Stonewall. 1/ Ministers have been accused of significantly overestimating the number of people falling victim to conversion therapy to justify banning the practice. The Gov unveiled draft laws last month under which people would face 5 years in jail for pressuring someone to change their

Interesting to compare the 2 judgments that have been released over the last week, Kelly vs Leonardo and Peggie Vs NHS Fife/Upton.
In the former, Kelly appears to be criticised for not confronting/reporting the trans-identifying males she met in the female loos. Instead, she 1/ Image tried to find out what the policy was about allowing males into female loos. It took a long time and when Leonardo eventually confessed to an unwritten policy turning female loos into mixed sex loos, she raised a grievance & ET.

I am sat witnessing (11am) an exchange between Procurator Fiscal & (prisoner) Naomi Fee. They're discussing a female prisoner calling a male prisoner (based in HMP Greenock, a female wing) names, like "he" & "him". The male prisoner is claiming to be a woman (he's not one) 1/ The female prisoner who allegedly called the names is on a criminal charge in a Sherriff Court. She has no choice but serve time with this male prisoner, no-one cares about the impact of the male prisoner. We are hearing, in detail however, how the male prisoner (Alex Stewart 2/

What exactly does it mean for a male to say he's a woman? Does it mean he thinks he has a male body/female brain? Or that he just doesn't like his body? Or even that he gets a sexual kick from dressing as a woman? Reading about the male using the Darlington nurse's room, Rosie 1/ Image I see that he isn't taking opposite sex hormones because he is trying to get his girlfriend pregnant. In the act of procreation, the role of sperm-provider is definitely a male role in terms of biology & physics & we can safely assume a turkey baster is not being used here 2/

I was studying with @OpenUniversity when Jo was being harassed. In fact I contacted her to ask for help as students were also being scared in to silence over any discussion about the significance of sex in their studies. 1/
#PhoenixRising We'd been told we could not discuss why the MOU (signed by NHS, Counselling bodies & the sodding Chief Medical Officer) to affirm gender identities was ethical, when some of the most vulnerable people were being dragged into the cult. Staff were scared. 2/@DrGregorSmith

Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull is a woman that knows that humans have 2 sexes and they are immutable, just like the vast majority of people in the world. However, this has become controversial because a small group of people want to force us to believe that males can become 1/ females. And while most people don't really care if someone holds an "eccentric" belief, this one comes with pressure to accept those males into female spaces & activities. Women are saying no! KJ is saying no! KJ has been holding rallies across the UK to allow women to 2/

I've sat through all but one of the Scottish Parliamentary hearings related to Gender Recognition Reform Bill. Last week I was asked to leave because of my scarf choice, this week a friend was asked to leave after pointing out the Cabinet Secretary was not paying attention 1/ during the final Stage 2 hearing of over 150 proposed amendments to the Bill (otherwise know as papering over the cracks).
I've just noticed that 1 of @thesnp MSPs on the committee dealing with the Bill @SP_EHRCJ is very critical of the member of the public that spoke her mind 2/

So, the @sp_ehrcj has started. Every woman in the public gallery is wearing a scarf and clothing encompassing purple, white and green. We even have a suffragette in the room (sat behind Shona). Let the 2nd hearing of the Stage 2 amendment session begin. @Rachael2Win & @TessWhite4NE speaking about their amendments, including what "living in their acquired gender" actually means & how anyone can be found to be behaving fraudulently when no-one knows what the bar is.

It never bloody ends.
"ā€˜Sturgeon’s Tavistock’ clinic offers trans children surgery not backed by ā€˜robust evidence’. Leaked recording reveals that medics at the Sandyford clinic in Glasgow admits there were huge gaps in evidence around trans healthcare" 1/
telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/10/2… A gender identity clinic’ branded ā€œSturgeon’s Tavistockā€ has been offering patients irreversible sex-change treatments despite senior clinicians admitting that its methods are not backed by ā€œrobust evidenceā€, a leaked recording showed.

The first time I was flashed I was about 6 or 7. Innocently playing with my friends behind one of our houses. It was the stereotypical man in a flasher mac. We knew enough to know it was a bad thing. There was clearly a spate of dirty young/old men at the time because it 1/ happened again & again. So often that the 3rd or 4th time I told my brother, he called Police, they came straight out. I was so young I didn't understand why the Policewoman was asking if "it was pointing up or down". Everyone in the room was deadly serious. I cried. They took 2/
