For us, socialism/communism is what @DemSocialists describe here as “Democratic socialism”. It will be a class-free state-free money-free society where work is voluntary and all have free access to goods and services they need. It will indeed bring “full human emancipation”. 1/6 However, we reject a socialist political party seeking votes for better “welfare-state capitalism” because, as their own graphic says, such reformism sooner or later results in a return to “more orthodox capitalism”. There is no “path toward” socialism if voters want reforms. 2/6

1. Our account’s received a lot of tweets lately from Trump supporters who can’t comprehend why anyone will bother to contribute to a socialist society if all work is voluntary. Hence this thread. Firstly, socialism won’t exist until a clear majority know what it is and want it. 2. With socialism brought about by maybe 80% or more of people, most of those who didn’t vote for it would nevertheless go along with the democratic wishes of the majority, participate and contribute. Any tiny minority able to work, but who refused to do so, would be irrelevant.
