We once had a child join us in Year 4.
He came from a stable family. His dad had a solid job. Mum in particular was very hands on and hardworking. The family had immigrated but he spoke excellent English, albeit with an accent interspersed with the odd bit of Spanish.
But this boy had huge self-esteem issues and I've literally never seen disruptive behaviour like it.
There were no ACEs or anything like that as far as we were aware.
It was just a constant stream attention-seeking, disruptive behaviour - both high level and low level.
