In the days before Uber, I can’t count the number of times I would be out in Manhattan trying to hail a yellow cab, only for the taxi to drive right by me and pick up a white person standing 10’ past me down the same block. 1/ Not ONCE in all those times did any white person turn down the cab, offer me the cab, or do anything other than literally WATCH the cab pass me and still hop in on their merry way.
