All eyes need to be on Brazil right now. Democracy is completely under attack. Bolsonaro supporters are invading Congress, the presidential
palace, and realms of power in Brazil.
Unbelievable scenes.
Beyond comprehension. As @davidrkadler states: “A policeman arrives on horseback to contain the insurrection and the Bolsonaristas beat the horse and bloody the policeman to the ground. I am speechless.”

If you watch anything to today. Let it be this. The opening sequence of @BethRigby interview with Prime Minister Liz Truss. Beth demonstrating the courage we would all wish for, if ever faced with Truss. Nonetheless, truly one of the most cutting interview openings in years.
Text I took from it: “Prime Minister you’ve been in power for 28 days but 10 of those politics was paused. In 18 days then, you announce £45 billion of tax cuts without setting a fiscal framework, it precipitated a 65 billion emergency bond buying program by the Bank of England

Twitter Question of week:
For anyone who changed career paths in their 30’s? Or wanted to, and didn’t do. Did you ever regret changing or staying?
*This could be a COMPLETE change in career. Or a even change into a similar career field. But still involved taking that risks.
I may not be able respond directly to all comments, particularly this morning. But reading everyone. And beyond appreciative of people commenting the experience good or bad on their decisions and experience!

THREAD: As Roe v Wade trends.
The people of Ireland deeply remember Savita Halappanavar. If the people of the United States have not heard this story, please read. If you feel comfortable.
In Oct 2012, Savita arrived in an Irish hospital, complaining of lower back pain that… (2) had lasted for around 12 hours. She was 17 weeks into her first pregnancy.
After examination, doctors found that Savita’s pregnancy was inevitably going to fail due to complications and she was admitted that same day. Her water then broke but the fetus was not expelled.

It seems Priti Patel rang Ireland’s Minister for Justice over her concerns that refugees fleeing Ukraine, may be trying to enter the U.K via Ireland. Well jokes on her. As I’ve been actively telling people how to enter the U.K. via this route.
Our Justice Minister said Ireland is part of the EU crisis response and that refugees are welcome in Ireland. So essentially a diplomatic way of saying “jokes on you”.

Beyond relieved to hear that my dear online friend Ellissa has made it to Poland. She is 9 months pregnant and will give birth any day now. She fled Kyiv over a week ago and it has been an unbelievably horrific journey. I’m in contact now each day with her, and she is doing well.
This information was all shared with permission. As I personally did not feel it safe documenting her journey until she was in safe territory for her and her unborn child. She asked me to share this photo of where she lived and has subsequently been bombed.
