THE YORUBA AND BENIN RELATIONSHIP IN IZODUWA/IMADODUWA/ODUDUWA - by The Mystical Court, Grenada.
“Do you believe ODUDUWA is the ancestral father of the Yoruba people? Many Yoruba scholars claim Oduduwa fell from the sky to Yoruba land. Where actually did he land? Any sign?
Others say he came from the east (Benin Kingdom). Ok, did he meet people in the so-called Yoruba land? If yes, then how can Oduduwa now be their ancestral father?”. The truth was that Oduduwa is Ekaladerhan Izoduwa, first Son of Ogiso Owodo, from Igodomigodo (Benin Kingdom).

After Oba Esigie defeated Arhuanran, what happened to Arhuanran and Idia? I place both of them as the focus here because, in my understanding, the was more between Idia wanting her Son to be Omo N'Oba and Arhuanran wanting to possess being heir.
This history will, in fact, address the reason why, by natural cause, Arhuanran couldn't ever have been the Oba of Benin and why his reign ended as it did.
We will also touch (slightly) on why Esan & Etsakor people are Benins, as opposed to how we have separated ourselves.

Between Idubor (Arhuanran) and His brother Osawe (Esigie) who was heir to the throne after Oba Ozolua passed?
While many people still can't fit the understanding by emotionally ascribing Arhuanran as the elder brother of Esigie, their birth day actually clarifies it.
Idubor and Osawe were born on the same day. While Idubor was born in the morning, He refused to cry. The cry of a baby is what signifies the time it took life. As such Iloi (Queen) Orhomin could not tell Oba Ozolua that she had put to bed.
At noon, Idia gave birth to Osawe.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely. Edo people would love a united Nigeria, but those agitating for Biafra & Oduduwa Republic need to learn of their boundaries.
@OdudwaRepublic, pls adjust this map to match Benin Kingdom's 1897 stretch, if you mean ur Exit.👌
Drawn from the Khan Academy, here is what Benin Kingdom was left with as at 1897. Eko (Lagos), a town named by Oba Orhogbua and given to Asikpa (a Benin Army General) in the 16th century, became a dispute in 1841 between the Yorubas and Benin Kingdom.
