Monsoon session of Parliament begins today, and out of about 400 journalists, only 60 are allowed. Restrictions continue despite the honourable Lok Sabha speaker’s public announcement that all permanent passes will be renewed. We still hope with respect to the chair that the promise will be fulfilled in letter and spirit. We are deeply concerned about the manner in which the media is being sidelined. This has never happened in the history of independent India.
