Things kids should be taught in schools, but aren't.

Number 1: Financial literacy. Teach kids how to save and budget using excel. Teach the basics of investing... What a share and an index fund are. Emphasise the importance of disciplined saving for retirement early on. Number 2: How to read. Astonished schools don't teach this but it's incredibly important. How to choose and read books effectively to maximise utility gained. Show how to effectively annotate sentences and teach methods of maximising retention.
