My film POMMEL has been nominated for a #BIFA for BEST BRITISH SHORT!! Making this was a tumultuous and immensely difficult 2.5 year journey. I actually had a mental breakdown right before production. The difficulty in trying to tell authentic and diverse stories is real... It took 18 months to find a race/age/skills specific cast (2 British east Asian kids who could actually do gymnastics and act) ONLY THREE EXISTED IN UK. 3 days before production I almost lost funding due to a producer dropping out. It was knife edge the entire time.

So... I JUST FOUND A CAT THAT IS NOT MINE AND IT HAS HAD BABIES UNDER MY BED. Trying to adjust to the catshit crazy reality of going upstairs to grab a jumper but instead finding a cat and 4 kittens. Am I dad now?
