Worst ever experience at a UEFA final. Arrived 2 hours before kick off, turnstiles wouldn’t let fans with tickets in - massive crush. My daughter was pinned against a turnstile in tears. Stewards ignored it - it was fans that lifted her up to safety.
Then tear gassed leaving.
Thanks for those asking - she was badly shook up, but avoided injury. My youngest went to Madrid, but I couldn’t take her to this. Thank god - no way would she have been able to handle that situation. Outside afterwards was like a war zone. I won’t go to a game in Paris again.

[Thread] Today, I saw that Ruby Bridges was trending. I learned she was a 6-year-old girl who became the first black child to attend an all-white elementary school in New Orleans in the American south.
She had to be escorted by four armed US marshals every day, as crowds shouted the N-word at her and waved Confederate flags. One white woman held up a coffin with a black doll in it. She was a 6-year-old child.
