Kamala’s ad featuring “Freedom” by Beyoncé is so perfect for this moment and it will resonate for a number of reasons.

First of all, Kamala is clearly establishing her candidacy as a synonym for freedom itself.

This part right here blew me away. 🧵 Second, the ad is bright and hopeful.

You get a true sense of Harris’ vision for America…

One that is inclusive, but doesn’t come without hard work and a sober awareness of those who don’t share the vision.

Those flashes of trump were rightfully minimal and very well-placed.

Yesterday I spoke with my brother who’s in Missouri for business.

He went to a lounge with a diverse crowd. Everyone was talking about the election. The Black voters he spoke to were hopeful about our current state.

But then he spoke to a Republican white woman🧵 It was clear they didn’t agree on most political ideologies but she wasn’t bigoted.

She said trump was a bad nominee but she will vote for him bc she’s a party loyalist. (I know, I know)

She also seemed to be tied to the notion that God had a hand in trump’s appointment BUT…
