Philly peeps*: @neeratanden is right. Yes, Philly is totally blue but there are SO many districts around us that can use help. I'm going to list some in this thread.
*I've never used the word "peeps" before. How'd it go?
Things that WON'T help with midterms:
-- Fighting on social media
-- Complaining about the GOP
-- Arguing who would be a better 2020 presidential candidate
Things that WILL help with midterms:
-- Canvassing
-- Calling a campaign and asking what they need
-- Phonebanking
More things that WON'T help with midterms:
-- Telling everyone that we are doomed so why even try
-- Deciding that no candidate is perfect and not voting
-- Seeing that you won't be first affected by the GOP
Things that WILL help:
-- Helping people get to the polls

Let's talk about what canvassing is like. I'm not an expert (I've only gone twice) but I'll share my experiences and I'm hoping others will chime in. I'm going to start by saying it isn't nearly as hard or scary as I thought it would be. So here's what happens: (cont.)
You sign up for a shift (though the campaign website or a group like @swingleft, @PPAdvocatesPA) and then go to the campaign headquarters at your assigned time. If you've watched too much TV like I have, the headquarters will be much less fancy than you expect. (cont.)

Friends, do this for me. Go to swingleft.org and put in your zip code. This will be your closest congressional swing district. Scroll down to find the district. Mine is NJ-03. Then go to google and put in "swingleft"<your closest district> and "calendar" (cont.)
One of the top results should be the event calendar for volunteers in that district. Click on it. Look at the events, pick one, and then click on it. It will bring you to a page where you can sign up for the event. This is a super great way to flip the House. (cont.)
