I suspect a lot of people welcoming the #CassReport were sent the summary in advance and based statements off that, but when you read the actual report it’s quite different - pathologising, unevidenced, and authoritarian, in line with NHS England’s output of the last few years
The #CassReview excluded trans people from its governance board and appointed pro-conversion therapy activists to conduct its evidence review who A) Did not declare their conflicts of interest, and B) Threw out the majority of the evidence
The Shadow Women & Equalities Secretary says under Labour tr@ns Brits will still need a doctor’s permission to get married the same way everyone else can, and she used the dehumanising term “biological women” instead of the more accurate “cis women”

She also makes no mention at all of the Tr&ns Health Crisis or Labour’s own Tr&nsphobia Crisis. The upper ranks of the Labour Party are entirely cisgender, which might explain their out of touch and insulting proposals.
