En ny obemannad mini-ubåt utvecklas genom forcerad anskaffning för att snabbt stärka vår marina förmåga. Det är mycket positivt. FMV och Saab tar nu fram Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle som ska bli en viktig del i skyddet av Sverige och vårt närområde under ytan. (1/3) Image LUUV kan autonomt övervaka, upptäcka och avvisa hot i Östersjön. Genom att ta över uppdrag frigörs våra bemannade ubåtar för mer avancerade uppgifter. Visiting Ukraine for the 4th time since the full scale invasion. 🇺🇦 Defence minister @Denys_Shmyhal and I have now signed an agreement on the production of defence materiel by 🇸🇪 and 🇺🇦 companies in Sweden. We are aiming to increase our defence industrial output. 🇺🇦🇸🇪Today, Sweden presented its largest military support package to Ukraine to date, valued at almost $1.6 billion. The package includes, among other things, support for Ukraine’s air defence, artillery, satellite communications, and maritime capacity. (1/6) Image The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has mapped the market’s ability to produce defence materiel with short delivery times of about 0-24 months. Sweden will procure and donate 18 additional archer artillery systems and 5 ARTHUR (artillery hunting radar) systems to Ukraine. (1/5) Image Sweden has previously donated 8 Archer systems to Ukraine. They are appreciated by 🇺🇦 and have done a good job at the front in delivering damage to the Russian occupiers. Today Sweden is announcing that we plan to contribute with multiple JAS Gripen fighter jets to two NATO operations in Poland. They consist of protection of NATO logistical support to Ukraine & Air policing over Poland. We stand ready to protect our allies & friends. 🇸🇪 today announced the biggest military aid package to 🇺🇦 yet for approx. 1,2 billion USD. Apprx. 90 million USD will be allocated towards production of 🇺🇦 long-range missiles and drones. Sweden will also send military aid in the form of AT4:s to Moldova. (1/9) Image From the Swedish armed forces stocks, Sweden will double the amount of donated combat boats 90 from 16 to 32, adding another 16 CB 90s in this package. The combat boats will also be aided with 23 weapons stations and 1 million 12,7 mm ammunition. (2/9)

Sweden will soon contribute substantial funds to make Ukraine able to mass produce Ukrainian long-range missiles and long range drones. Presented the news with 🇺🇦 defence minister Rustem Umerov at Karlberg Castle today. (1/4) Image This will be made possible through the Danish model. 🇸🇪 government today decided to reject the applications of 13 offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea, while granting one (Poseidon) on the Swedish west coast. The reaction time in the event of a missile attack could go from 2 minutes to 60 seconds with wind farms in the way. (1/4) Image With war in close vicinity, Sweden finds itself in a serious security situation. Defence interests must carry significant weight when these kinds of decisions are made. Today we announce that the 🇸🇪government will increase the Swedish military budget next year by 13 billion SEK (+10%), bringing the total amount to 138 billion SEK. Sweden’s military budget will therefore reach 2,4% of GDP in 2025. (1/7) Image In 2024 the military budget grew by 28%, and in 2025 it will grow an additional 10%. The security situation demands further increases and Sweden will answer to that task. It’s important that European allies inside NATO assume a larger responsibility for Europe’s security. (2/7)

The government today presents a new military support package to Ukraine worth approx. 445 million USD. We continue to go from donation to the production of arms to Ukraine. Just announced: Sweden will donate a new military capability to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence. Package 16 will be the largest 🇸🇪 military aid package yet at €1,16bln. Sweden will donate Airborne Surveillance and Control aircraft (ASC 890) to 🇺🇦. (1/6) Image ASC 890 will provide 🇺🇦 with a new capability against both airborne and maritime targets. 🇺🇦 capability to identify targets at long range will be strengthened. They will act as a force multiplier with the introduction of F-16. AMRAAMs will also be donated. (2/6)

@swedishPM and I just announced that Sweden is joining the Leopard 2 tank coalition. Sweden will give up to 10 Leopard 2 A5 main battle tanks to Ukraine. This, with the 50 CV90 infantry fighting vehicles on the way, will significantly strengthen the armed forces of Ukraine. (1/7) Sweden will also donate a substantial amount of HAWK air defence system components and ammunition. Den ryska militära framfarten måste stoppas. Just nu är det Ukraina som är Europas sköld mot denna framfart. Ukrainas krig är därför också vårt krig.
