You probably know the answer to that question, although you may not realise it.
Paraphrasing from Wikipedia…
‘The term Gleichschaltung was the process by which the Nazi Party successively established a system of totalitarian control over all aspects of German society, from the economy and trade associations to the media, culture, and education. Gleichschaltung was, by one authoritative account, “Consolidation. All of the German Volk's social, political, and cultural organizations to be controlled and run according to Nazi ideology and policy. All opposition to be eliminated.”’
In short, Gleichschaltung was the process by which the Nazi Party ‘Nazified’ Germany.
Sound familiar?
Just as the Nazis Nazified Germany in the 1930s, the Wokes have set out to Woke-ify the West today.
And like the Nazis again, they’ve gotten off to a very good start. Schools, universities, corporates, news media, the police, the civil service, museums…are there any institutions left to be Woke-ified?
Perhaps that comparison seems unlikely. If Nazism comes from the far right and Wokism comes from the far left, how could ideologies from opposite ends of the political spectrum be so similar in their methods and desires?
The simple answer is that they are both totalitarian ideologies, and all totalitarians are the same. Whether Nazi, Marxist, Maoist, or Woke, the ultimate goal is always the total appropriation of society’s institutions and organisations, and thereby the total control of the people and their lives.
So it was inevitable that Nazi and Woke tactics would overlap, as would their demands, their justifications, and their aggressive responses to any kind of opposition.
For totalitarians to succeed, even the mildest critics must be silenced and purged.
And for that very reason, it is essential that we speak up and call it out.
In this thread I will present some of the key events in the rise of the Nazi ideology in Germany in the 1930s, and draw parallels between that period of history and the rise of the Woke ideology over the last decade in the West.
The thread will cover flags, fires, oaths of allegiance, purges of dissenters, the manipulation of language, knee-jerk legislation targeting opposition groups, state-sponsored propaganda, and above all, control: control of thoughts, words, ideas, and outcomes.
The goal is to expose the Wokes for what they truly are – an angry, perverted, totalitarian hate mob that is rightly comparable to the Nazis.
To do that, we first need to understand their motivations, identify the flaws and weaknesses of their ideology, and warn about what might be coming in the years ahead. With that information we can prepare ourselves accordingly.
This is a very important and increasingly urgent matter. Whether Nazi or Woke, we cannot afford to underestimate the totalitarian’s willingness to destroy what they cannot control – even if it means destroying themselves and everyone else in the process.
Gleichschaltung is one of those compound words you often come across in German.
‘Gleich’ means same and ‘schaltung’ means shift or circuit. When the two words are combined they create a new word and a new concept, one which doesn’t have a direct translation in English.
In 1930s Germany, Gleichschaltung referred to the control of all aspects of German life – education, work, religion, politics, culture, sport, art – and their reorientation to serve Nazi goals.
It was through Gleichschaltung that the Nazis were able to turn Germany into a single party state.
The term originated in electrical engineering where it meant ‘rectification’, but the Nazis appropriated the word (as they did with so many things) and applied it in a social context to mean something more like ‘synchronisation’ or ‘co-ordination’.
The idea was that, just as the switches on a circuit board could be co-ordinated by one master switch, so too the people in a society could be brought into line through one master ideology – ‘ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer’.
And if the people could be switched on, then of course, they could be switched off too. Ausschaltung was a related term which referred to the exclusion from civil society of those who refused to comply with the Nazi’s social, political, and racial ideologies.
All totalitarian regimes need ways to impose their ideologies on the people, and they all need ways to eliminate those who will not conform. On this, the Nazis and the Wokes are no different.
The Wokes demand ‘allyship’ (or at the very least, silent acquiescence), and they will ‘cancel’ you if they think you pose a threat.
The use of the word ‘ally’ shows that they see this as a war, with victory over their enemy as their ultimate goal, while ‘cancel’ is the modern, online euphemism for eliminate, unperson, or purge.
The words are different, but their motivations and intentions are the same: you are either with us or against us; you will submit to our Gleichschaltung or we will destroy you.
(All done in the name of kindness, compassion, and safety of course!)
It’s also important to note that Nazi Gleichschaltung did not work through top-down enforcement – that would be to confuse the order of things.
Nazi Gleichschaltung permeated every nook and cranny of society before it took control of the state.
It infiltrated workers unions, football clubs, veteran’s organisations, even choirs and gardening associations. Children’s clubs were incorporated into Hitler youth. Churches began to fly the swastika flag.
Once the Nazis controlled society, taking control of the government was a formality.
““There was no more social life,” growled a German from Lower Saxony, “you couldn’t even have a bowling club [that was not] co-ordinated.”
It’s beginning to feel that way in Ireland. It seems like nothing is free of the Woke Gleichschaltung.
Universities are run on Woke principles. Schools teach feminist propaganda. Corporates demand oaths of allegiance to ‘diversity and inclusion’. Public sector buildings are draped in the rainbow flag. News media spew hate at anyone who dares question Woke dogma.
Nationalists are forced to hide their true identity on social media for fear of reprisal – just as the Jews and communists were in Nazi Germany.
Ireland’s institutions have been ‘brought in line’. Irish society has been ‘co-ordinated’.
And like Nazi Germany again, the infiltration and corruption took place quietly in the background, without anyone noticing, until it was too late.
The madness was normalised, now sanity is the crime.
Speaking of buildings draped in flags – and remembering that it is the Holy Month of Pride – we'll talk about the rainbow flag next, because it might be the clearest demonstration of Woke Gleichshaltung in our society, and the closest parallel between the Nazis and the Wokes.
There’s a lot going on in Ireland these days, as you well know. Mostly not for good.
When we globalised our society in the '90s, we thought it meant higher incomes, cheap foreign holidays, and more consumer products. And it did, for a while.
20 years on, we can see that a globalised Ireland also means open-borders, international terrorism, international organised crime, pandemics, cyber attacks, homelessness, and a loss of the sovereignty our national heroes fought and died to win.
When we globalised the returns, we didn't realise that we were also globalising the risks, and the global risks are a lot more dangerous than the local ones we were used to.
And now we are paying a heavy price for it.
The nation is suffering. It is being weakened from within and without, and in this vulnerable state a fifth column of creeps, quislings, and opportunists has formed to take advantage of it.
You’d have to say they’ve been very successful too.
They have infiltrated our schools, our universities, our workplaces, our media and government. Even our museums and charities have become tools of foreign influence.
The only thing they haven’t corrupted, so far, is the ballot box.
They have taken a lot of ground for sure, but the war has only just begun. We’ve had some wins recently, and we have built some momentum too, but there is a long way to go and a lot of work to do.
In this thread I’ll address some of the main challenges facing the nation; the key battles and the likely battlegrounds – migration, Covid-19, Neoliberalism, and Wokism.
This is not a complete list of our troubles, nor is it an authoritative account – you'd need a bookshelf for that.
But while the challenges we face may be big and complex, the solution in all cases is clear and simple – nationalism.
Red blooded nationalism. Red headed nationalism. Youngfella nationalism. Auldfella nationalism. Green, white, and orange on every building, bus stop, and bog door nationalism
A new #FullyIrish nationalism that will inspire the nations of Europe to rise up, take their countries back, and by doing so, put a final end to the Woke Neoliberal globalist era.
And then we’ll have a session 🥳🍻 🤪
(and then we’ll probably go back to fighting amongst ourselves because we’re Irish and it’s just the way we are 🤷♂️)
That’s the plan anyway. Details below.

Migration
Migration is the issue of the day.
It’s no wonder.
We opened the floodgates, and then we got flooded.
No one should be surprised by the harm this has done to the Irish nation, nor the Irish people’s opposition to further dilution of their national culture and native rights.
The floodgates were there for a reason.
The overpopulation of the island has been the cause of one catastrophe after another, from the housing and homelessness crises, to the exhaustion of our public services and national resources, to the violence and criminality flowing over our borders and into our neighbourhoods and communities.
Sickening crimes that were unheard of 30 years ago have become commonplace. So too the activities of international organised crime groups who have comfortably established themselves in Ireland – Lithuania heroin dealers, Albanian traffickers, Nigerian fraudsters, Romani thieves, etc.
As more foreigners of all kinds pour into the country, increasing numbers of Irish people are being trapped overseas because Ireland is quite literally full and they can’t afford to come home. They are being joined by yet another generation of young Irish who had to emigrate to see a decent life.
These crimes are all a direct result of the establishment’s de facto open-border policy, and they are all easily stopped too – the solution is simple and obvious – but neither the politicians nor the media wants to recognise the elephant in the room, much less do anything about it.
When the tap is on full blast and the sink is overflowing, you don’t need a bigger sink. You don’t need more towels for soakage. You don’t need to set up committees or working groups or citizens’ assemblies to explore the options. You only need to do the simple, obvious thing: turn off the fucking tap.
If Ireland controlled immigration, the housing and homelessness crises would immediately start to ease, and they would both be over within a few years.
Crime, hospital overcrowding, waiting lists of all kinds, and the costs of the asylum scam would fall too. We’d then have more time to build our communities and more space to live our lives.
The fact that the sink continues to overflow and that there is no end in sight to any of these crises is due to the incompetence, the dishonesty, and the cowardice of the Irish establishment – the politicians, the media, and the ‘experts’ – traits which are deeply-ingrained and almost universal among them.
The sad truth is that the Irish establishment are little more than kids playing grown-ups. They are posers and shapers managing their images in the media; actors saying their lines for the audience.
Ireland’s leaders aren't trying to solve these, or any of our problems. They just want to be celebrities, and they are willing to sacrifice the nation to achieve it.
It will take several more years before a critical mass of Irish people are aware of (or willing to admit) the full scale of the depravity and destruction being done to the nation by these soulless attention-seekers and their ruinous open-border agenda.
But, we are getting there.
It is to the credit of the many Irish nationalists on Twitter and beyond who are working on this issue that we are making progress. We should all be grateful to them for their efforts, and we should look to pick up the slack wherever we can.

Tony Holohan deliberately excluded Martin Cormican from NPHET because Tony knew Martin wasn't going to be a 'yes man' (like PN & RG).
Tony didn't care about the consequences for Ireland's Covid response; he only cared about keeping control of the narrative.
Cormican: "I have never understood why the HSE Clinical Lead for IPC wasn't involved from the outset... Infection prevention and control needed to be at the heart of this."
Cormican was eventually added to NPHET in early 2021 - too little too late.
