Joe Biden became the nominee in 2020 because Black voters understand that the white Dem electorate is weak and runs scared. We understood that because of YOU, it would take an older white man to go up against Trump again. That's a you issue. You needed that and you got it. Deal. The entirety of Black voting has always been a calculus of risk mitigation and harm reduction. We have informed ourselves on policies that hurt us and other marginalized communities the least. Some white women and #LGBTQ people get this. Far too many white people don't.

Let me address the "they pay taxes". Yes, they do. They also made a choice. Choices have consequences.

Thoughts on this. Consistent with how way too many white people view racism, it is something that non-white and specifically Black people are expected to endure, not something white people are expected to stop doing. Reagan led the backlash against the gains of the Civil Rights movement. He announced his campaign in Neshoba county, with a state's rights message. The county where Chaney, Schwerner, and Goodman were murdered. His racism was palpable. Here's what we're not going to do. We're not going to pretend on the anniversary of the enslaved in Texas finally learning they were free, that white Christians weren't the ones who delayed that news.

We're also not going to pretend that denominations like the SBC 1/ weren't founded to maintain the institution and didn't fight integration and Civil Rights up to and including the present day.
