(1/8) Douglass, a former enslaved man, was well known as an abolitionist, author, orator, and statesman and served as an advisor to five U.S. presidents, including Lincoln during the Civil War. Discovered by chance in Montana in 1988, the Nation’s T. rex was amazingly & perfectly preserved in action with its jaws around a hapless Triceratops. This so called “death pose” is on view at the National Museum of Natural History
