And here we are trying very hard to reduce stigma and discrimination, and @KKMPutrajaya at the National World AIDS Day event invites AP Dato' Dr. Izhar Ariff bin Mohd Kashim to speak on the Role of Society in Combating HIV-AIDS. Ok Prof if you can’t be compassionate, at the very least you can try and not be so bigoted and hurtful at a World AIDS Day event ! And as if that’s not enough, you are also spreading wrong information about how the disease can be transmitted. Honestly, JKNS and AIDS-STI Unit KKM you can do and be better than this.

Today saw the launch of the 12 speciality curricula from the National Postgraduate Medical Curriculum project - which over the last 7 years > 360 colleagues from various public unis & KKM came together to work on. The project’s objective is to build on and strengthen the existing training pathways - the University Clinical Masters program and the parallel pathway offered by KKM to ensure that all trainee doctors are trained to the highest standard thus guaranteeing patient safety & quality of care.

Why are malls and universities closing down as soon as there is 1-2 reported COVID19 positive cases in their vicinity? Let’s stop the hysteria and get back to basics - Contact trace close contacts as defined by > 15 mins encounter < 1 M apart in a closed space. Isn’t that why we painstakingly register wherever we go? And remember, masks do provide protection, that’s why you should wear them in crowded public places.
