WHY WE'RE FUCKED, 2023 EDITION: While the market had a nice *hour* there to end '22 (golf clap), once tax loss selling dried up & people tried to get ahead of the new year bounce - and while it may continue next week - I don't see markets any less volatile in 23 (1/x)
🧵
The funny thing is that mathematics are a certainty - but when rates are at 0%, that certainty is temporarily cast aside while the QE money printer usurps the place of economic reality. This means that all stocks - including flaming bags of dog shit - move higher. (2/x)

THREAD: Watched Jeremy Corbell defending the Bob Lazar story on @JoeRogan the other day again. I can't help but continue to be bothered by the lack of serious evidence pertaining to Lazar's UFO claims & here's where I think the truth lies. (1/n)
Corbell's lack of direct evidence outside of Lazar's claims is conspicuous. Think of the old adage "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". I feel like Lazar's story is a convenient mix of truth & lies - truth about the mundane, lies about the extraordinary. (2)

Please take a couple minutes out of your day to remind yourself what kind of a patriot and hero Dr. Ron Paul is by watching some of my favorite clips of his. (1/x)
The first is Ron Paul mopping the floor with Newt Gingrich over his military record. Make sure to watch to the end:

Socialists logging on to Twitter, drinking their Starbucks, tapping away at their iPhones, using high speed WiFi from Verizon, wearing t-shirts from Urban Outfitters, on their way to a BBQ using Uber to complain about capitalism on the 4th of July. Just fucking hilarious.
The problem is that all the things these socialists enjoy on a daily basis: from Wi-fi to choices of where to eat, are ALL products of capitalism. They live daily with the benefits of capitalism yet want so bad to change it with no clue of what a socialist state would look like.

Only other thing I'll say re: $TSLA: It's difficult to congratulate bulls who had fundamental theses but won the last couple weeks on a short squeeze based on zero fundamentals. But sometimes you have to.
1/n
It doesn't undermine all of the real concerns that shorts have raised. And I'm sure the stock will come back down and correct. But sometimes you gotta just take the L for the time being and look at the scoreboard. You can't argue with making money, which $TSLA bulls did.

THREAD: Someone swiped my debit card number when I was in NYC back in November. Here's what happened and what I found out.
Upon coming home from NYC in Nov, I found someone had gotten my debit card number somehow. There were a couple of pre-authorizations on my card that I didn't make listed as VERMA ENTERPRISES LLC in Edison, NJ. It was auth'd on a weekend, then fake charges of $100+ posted on Mon..

THREAD: Guys, several things that must be considered re: this SEC action on $TSLA. In my opinion, equity should be heading much lower and this pushes company to brink of discussing bankruptcy. Just think about these few things.
2/ The company had a chance to settle and they said no. Forget about speculating as to why they may have said no (something hidden under the rug?) but think about how this changes the demeanor/attitude of SEC/DOJ. Tesla has publicly called them out now. Who will be made a fool?

Call me crazy but right now would be a perfect time for $AMZN to bid for $SBUX, should it have been something they had ever considered it. 1/n
$SBUX right now reminds me a lot of $WFM when $AMZN bid for it - growth story stalled - constantly traded at PE of 25-30 and now trades with PE under 20. Both companies had just started massive buybacks. 2/n
