Many of you will have read this piece by @spkenn1 already - it's very good.

One thought I had: this interview illustrates how the "bring every conversation back to Jesus" approach many of us have been schooled can end up pretty bankrupt.

mereorthodoxy.com/negative-world… It should be a "homiletical rule" which we can apply to certain kinds of speech and interaction when it's best.

But we make it a "hermeneutical rule", interpreting all of our interactions through it, and failing to actually listen or to read the room.

So yesterday I received this forwarded message outlining some very concerning parts of the government's new #SchoolsBill, smuggled in in the recent Queen's Speech.

This bill seems to be an OUTRAGEOUS infringement on the rights of parents who want to home educate. The bill is currently at committe stage in the Lord's.

And yet I've been amazed to find virtually no media coverage on this. Why? Have people just lost it in the midst of all the other current fiascos?
