Have you been wondering what the difference between Gillick competence + Fraser guidelines is?
Gillick: child’s capacity to consent. Fraser: guidelines to decide if a child can consent to contraceptive or sexual health advice/treatment.
Gearing up to watch @publiclawprojct talk on Gender Recognition cases as part of PLP's (fab) week-long Equality Act bumper special. Headed up by barristers Sarah Hannett (Matrix) and Claire McCann (Cloisters).

🆕The Labour Party's position on women.
Will:
- Ensure that the single-sex-based exemptions contained in the Equality Act 2010 are understood and fully enforced in service provision.
- Misogyny and violence against women and girls will become hate crimes
- End mixed-sex wards
- Set new standards for tackling domestic + sexual abuse and violence
- Appoint a Commissioner for Violence against Women and Girls
- Establish an independent review into shamefully low rape prosecution rates.
