Today, I requested the Union Government to expedite the process of ascertaining Permanent Political Solution to fulfill the long pending demand of the people from Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region. I shared my deepest appreciation and pride that I feel in witnessing history unfold right in front of my eyes, as under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister @NarendraModi ji our government has successfully resolved that were deemed to be impossible to resolve.

Today there was an assassination attempt on me. I was on my way to inaugurate a new school building in Sinji, Kalimpong when drunk TMC supporters attacked me with Khukuri, Knives and pelted heavy Stones.
