Thinking of Combray, the childhood village in Proust's In Search of Lost Time, as a literary equivalent of a video game hub. It's not just an opening, but a specific time and place which are brought back regularly, structure the entire narration and connect its different parts. The whole story unfolds in the continuity of a reminiscence which revives the time and space of Combray. Through the first book, the narration's order isn't chronological: it follows the village's geography. We are visiting small worlds of memory, each one related to the village.

A thread of Japan-exclusive PS1 gems! A few years ago, I browsed the entire list of the console's releases, found an incredible lot of secret masterpieces or oddities, and listed my favorites. I will present roughly 100 of them, posting each day through the month of March! => ImageImageImageImage Aconcagua (Sony, 2000), a diplomatic survival adventure in the Andes. Control the 5 survivors of a plane crash, including the revolutionary woman the government is trying to murder. Unique, radical & smart in every aspect. Its worldwide release was abandoned for unknown reasons. ImageImageImageImage
