One of my blog commenters has the ten stages of Democrat grief:

1) “There’s NO EVIDENCE of election fraud!” 2) “There’s no evidence of SERIOUS election fraud!”

I'm amused at people talking about the "new normal" is though there's anything new about change. We haven't had any durable normal since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Technology has meant constant societal change. In the late 18th century, it was normal to have to either walk everywhere, or ride or be pulled by an animal. That normal didn't survive the advent of steamboats and rail.

OK, a rant on the illogic of "political debate" on cable news and elsewhere. One that I've had for months...oh, did I write "months"? For decades. The complete lack of rationality and logic among those who consider themselves our intellectual superiors. In this particular case, "Who interfered in the 2016 election?"

Let me state some simple predicates.

A) Russia interfered with our election.
B) Ukraine interfered with our election.

[more to come]

Here's the thing that few understand about the Clinton impeachment. Like Obama, he was deeply corrupt and a serial abuser of both people and power. The multiple acts of obstruction of justice for which he was impeached were in fact the least of his crimes. So why over those? All of his other criminal behaviour was done or abetted by other, fiercely loyal people. Take Susan MacDougal; she was willing to go to jail, and risk prison, to avoid testifying against the Clintons in Whitewater.

@chasrmartin @JammieWF @NewYorkStateAG This reminds me of my open letter to Bill O'Reilly: transterrestrial.com/2012/12/28/sto…

"For only $4.99, with not so much as an ID requirement, let alone a background check, I was able to purchase an “assault keyboard,” with several internet hotkeys." @chasrmartin @JammieWF @NewYorkStateAG "[The keyboard] was fully automatic–holding down any key would result in a torrent of characters being spit out, hundreds per minute. I even saw teenaged children buying them."

People familiar with the history of the Air Force (i.e., not very many people, including most current enlistees of the Air Force), will understand this analogy of why we ultimately, if no immediately, need a space force. [thread] In the early 20th century, only about a decade after its invention, army tacticians struggled to figure out what to do with it militarily. In Germany, they treated it as an extension of the cavalry (which was still an active thing).

OK, so there's been a lot of discussion today about rocket "costs." We need to be clear that no one except the manufacturers/operators know what their rockets cost. All of this discussion is really about price (what the customer is charged). (1/N) There is no fixed launch cost of a given rocket type. The cost of any given launch is a function of configuration, degree of reusability, propellant costs, flight rate, facility, etc. And we have to distinguish between marginal cost, and average cost.
