“If you can stop the fatty acid synthase, you cure cancer and obesity.” — Ray Peat

Ray’s perspective is rooted in orthomolecular-endocrinology, where FAS is upregulated by easily identifiable hormonal signals that can either be targeted/inhibited directly or via dietary changes. More Ray quotes:

“The deficiency of CO2 is what turns on the fatty acid synthase.”

“That’s why breathing CO2 is therapeutic in so many ways: anti-inflammatory, pro-respiratory.”

“The production of fat becomes an electron sink, so it’s defensive with a lot of bad consequences.”

A few months ago I ran out of facial moisturizer and didn’t replace the bottle — Figured it’s best not to get comfortable applying something I wouldn’t eat onto my skin.

At the time I had prepared a dropper bottle of MCT oil, Vit E, and micronized P4 for someone else (~10mg/ml). They didn’t need it so I had the bottle lying around.

After shaving I started applying a thin layer to my face to soothe skin.

This has been going on almost daily for a while now. Beard still grows at the same rate, maybe faster than usual, which is surprising.

So far so good.

STOP FREEZING BREAD

You’re turning the starch resistant. The granules don’t digest and permeate the gut barrier, circulate in the bloodstream, get lodged in tissues and blood vessels, and cause inflammation.

If you can’t get fresh bread everyday then stop eating bread everyday. Highly digestible starches >>>

If it doesn’t taste sweet after mixing with saliva for a few seconds then you’re probably not going to digest it well, and if you have a weak gut barrier due to endotoxins, serotonin, low gelatin etc., then it’s basically an inflammatory substance.

Telegony is trending, so let’s clear up some misconceptions:

A woman doesn’t have to get pregnant for “foreign DNA” to permanently persist in her system.

Any act of insemination (even via ingestion) leads to spermatozoa-somatic cell fusion. These hybrid cells are irrevocably altered and replicate indefinitely.

In animal models, the peritoneal injection of sperm with stained DNA (even if it’s from a different species) is found to not only persist indefinitely in the body, but also spread to every single tissue system within 48 hours.

Sometimes the presence of chimeric cells triggers autoimmune reactions that eventually culminate into tumors and other diseases.

All of this happens regardless of whether an egg is fertilized/conception occurs. Look up any number of studies on the topic and draw your own conclusions:

Dead fragments of HIV can spread by breathing musty air or shaking hands, and the PCR will pick it up if you’re gay enough to get tested

Anyone who tested positive for HIV, regardless of symptoms, was given massive, progressively escalating doses of AZT—to overcome “resistance” The progression of HIV to AIDS isn’t clear cut. Many people who test positive don’t get sick.

“AIDS” became a scapegoat for a variety of degenerative disorders

And in the Peatsphere we’ve identified several plausible causes that explain the symptoms:

We know the exact symptoms and fat distribution patterns of excess cortisol

You don’t need a pituitary tumor to experience these symptoms. Excess cortisol is a standard feature of hypothyroidism

If you’re balding and/or have skinny arms and a fat face, you better lock tf in Image

How to reduce cortisol?

Check to see if you’re hypothyroid, first and foremost.

If you’re a cortigroid, chances are that your heart beats rapidly in response to the slightest exertion (like going above 100BPM when you get out of bed) — partly due to chronic RAAS activation

Myth: Two different species cannot breed

True: Mixed-species offspring have high rates of infertility

Hypothesis: Human infertility is a result of globalization

Mechanism: The rate of infertility increases with each successive generation of Aryan and non-Aryan mixing

The female offspring of hybrid animals are fertile, while the males are infertile

Male offspring have significantly higher rates of cancer and other diseases that stem from impaired immune functioning (weak morphogenic fields)

While female offspring tend to fare better

Individuation occurs in solitude

The habits and activities you develop/engage in when you’re alone determine your identity as an individual

Maybe you try your hand at journaling, read a difficult book, explore old music, or find that mastering a niche interest brings you joy Poor people live in busy, chaotic households, shared bedrooms etc. so they never individuate

They never get a chance to be alone in peace and develop interests and personal habits, to think and introspect, or even to dabble in personal vices and make moral judgements

For all of you asking for exercises:

If you don’t have the mind-body-connection to tighten your scalp (especially on the sides), then you might want to try accupuncture to stimulate those unused muscles until you can consciously move them

I’ll provide some points you can try
Image Any acupuncturist will tell you that there’s a nerve running from the top of your head to the side of your eye/temple that stimulates motor function in the limbs (I highlighted it in green)

Try this out and you’ll feel more wide-eyed energy and have better overall posture Image

Yeah I said it. AIDS is a curable bacterial disease

Spirochaetes, “The Great Mimicker”, cause latent, vague, and opportunistic symptoms that are difficult to diagnose —

They can remain dormant for decades in shock-resistant cellular capsules, respirating w and w/o oxygen Image
Image
In other spirochaete infections — Neurosyphilis, Lyme, and possibly MND — the latency period lasts for 10 months to 40 years until the patient is immunocompromised (AKA prolonged body temp drop)

Note how this pattern of symptoms is very similar to that of radiation exposure etc.

n=1 but I’ve tried both T3 and T4 — isolated and together at different points

It’s very relaxing, and it’s an interesting feeling in your third eye — calm, euphoric, focused

But I must share a very real warning to Peaters considering exogenous thyroid hormone supplementation T3 monotherapy:

The metabolic effects of T3 last 4 hours, but the TSH suppressing effects last a couple days, so if you take T3 once and stop — you could go hypo!

Ray documented this. He reliably got heart palpitations from going severely hypo after a big dose of T3!

What do?

Ok quick, barebones 🧵 connecting:

1. Sagen Ishizuka’s theory on the ratio of sodium and potassium

2. Ray Peat’s research on the relationship between aldosterone and inhibited energy metabolism

3. The “no salt” Yanomami diet Image

Sagen Ishizuka, the founder of the Macrobiotic diet, had a theory that perfect health is attained by balancing the ratio of sodium and potassium

His theory extended to generalizations about culture —
