Breaking!
We just released a new report with the @Yale Macmillan Center Genocide Studies Program. We examine the mass imprisonment of #uyghurs under China’s legalized authoritarian regime, which will cost conservatively the ethnic group over 4.4 million cumulative years of life, stripping them of any chance at a thriving cultural existence.
China attempts to bureaucratically cover up its crimes against humanity & genocide. The data and information from various official sources and courageous family members of victims who came forward to ensure their loved ones don’t become faceless statistics stand as evidence.

Update:
My brother had a monitored video call with my brother. Almost 8 years no single in person visit. I asked my mom if she cried? Bc it’s not helpful for his mental health seeing mom devastated. She just learned that the police deduct points if the prisoner or families cry
She is beating herself up about all the times she cried and how much this has affected my brother. The scoring system was used in the current atrocities, but I never thought crying would also be a crime. The cruelty of the officials is unmatched even by the Russian system.

America's obsession with celebrities must be examined. @elonmusk's flirtation or, more seriously, threatening a hostile takeover of @twitter concerns me deeply. While Musk touts values of free speech, his close tie to the Chinese gov paints a different and dangerous picture.
Free speech is the most fundamental tenant of democracy. China is not a rule of law country that values free expression. Often dissidents & ethnic minorities are silenced. Elon Musk's @Tesla has recently opened a new showroom in Urumqi, where many people are detained in camps.
