The thing to really keep an eye on is what Ron and Casey do after this debacle finally crashes to earth. They're broke. They have no assets (they used a condo rented from a pedophile as their previous address.) Ron has never had an actual career so where do they go? If you think Casey Antoinette is gonna go back to live remotes for local TV you're nuts. Ron can't do TV because he's an asshole who hates to chat. His books are standard RW claptrap and won't be bestsellers when he isn't gov and can't force people to buy them in bulk

He's not wrong here. I sorta did this inadvertently in 2016 while working for the guy whose name I'm tired of saying. We would often go around to outdoor sign waving rallies while driving between events. One day we planned to stop at a place somewhere in Palm Beach County. It was a shopping center parking lot on a very busy corner and the Candidate was excited. That dude loves cheering crowds like I love cheeseburgers. Saying the Pledge is his highest calling in life.

Bear with me because I need to pay tribute to someone who meant a great deal to me. Some 12 years ago my wife and I got to know an older couple at our church. They always stuck out due to their bearing, the way they held hands, and the fact that the man usually drove a sportscar One day they invite us to dinner at the Sewalls Point Club (Martin County peeps know it well.) It's an incredible place on the ocean with five star service, etc. Not the place I would ever go. But it was incredible.

🧵Newsflash: I'm gonna play amateur political strategist for a second. Note to my liberal friends who are filling my TL with seething, white hot rage: this SCOTUS leak is a really good thing for you (and perhaps why it was leaked to begin with.) Lemme splain: Y'all are about to get worked this Fall and in less than a year you're facing Speaker Jordan/Stafanik/Banks. It's happening because you literally don't have a platform besides "REPUBLICANS ARE CRAZY AND THEY HATE YOU." Ok, while you may have a point...

Official government employee who is literally the definition of an insider has something to say about entrenched bureaucracy. What's also not a conspiracy theory is having a minimal resume with hardly a single accomplishment, cold calling the governor of the third largest state and suddenly getting hired to fill one of his most important staff positions without any prior experience.

I'm making a ton of new friends on Facebook due to my insistence that a beloved local teacher would still be alive had he simply gotten a shot. I'm over it, folks. I'm a husband and father. One of my primary responsibilities is to ensure that I am there for my family, both to provide and to nurture. Because of that I got my vaccine in January as soon as I was eligible. I did the research. I talked to my doctor, and there was no doubt

Thread. My only issue is that all of this was available online and no one looked for it. Simple Google searches by media or her opponents would've found all of it. So fact that people were unaware is due to gross incompetency You could hire any one of 250 firms out there for maybe $5k tops and they would've found all of this within 48hrs. Again, massive incompetence.

Stand by so, yesterday I did a thing. I'm not particularly proud of or happy about it but I did it and I won't pretend it didn't happen. I don't live my life that way. What follows will be my best attempt to explain myself and offer a mea culpa to Kyle and only to him.

Just imagine feeling like you have to vote for this guy in order to protect your way of life. Also, BREAKING: God doesn't require a president in office to protect His will. He is perfectly capable without having Trump as president. Stop fooling yourselves, Christians.

Watching Judge Barrett on stage reminded me of the time that my wife and I were turned down for adoption once local state agency learned I worked on Republican campaigns I can't 100% prove it but they made it pretty clear to us. After a dozen meetings, several home visits and having us meet potential children suddenly everything got frozen when I began working for local Republicans vs just national

So, since @KFoleyFL blocked me and made a personal attack, here's what he doesn't want me to say: I did reach out to kyle when he was struggling and needed work. I literally offered him work writing and editing newsletters that I had. He completely blew me off Sometimes there's a reason why people are constantly broke and failing at life. That's just a fact.

Admit it: your anger is over the hypocrisy of naming a replacement and not the actual decision to do it. But insisting that you're going to pack the court as a response is about anger, not being right. Just hope you accept the potential consequences Because swing and moderate voters (i.e. people Biden needs to win) aren't very comfortable with that idea. But you guys do you.

Nah, fuck it, I'll leave with this and y'all can do what you want. DM me shitty comments. Tell me to fuck off, whatever. I'll say this and be done for the night:

I admired the shit out of RBG. Absolutely hated her politics. But unlike too many of you, and pretty much everyone in politics these days, she knew how to behave like a fucking adult. She understood that being an adult meant more than your political affiliation. You could treat your political opponents like the human beings they were.

I had no idea that author Winston Groom of "Forrest Gump" fame passed away on Wednesday. He wrote a lot of interesting stuff, but is perhaps best known as the most famous victim of so called "Hollywood accounting." When Groom sold Forrest Gump, he received a 3% profit share on that blockbuster film. Problem was the studio claimed the film was unprofitable. Oops.

Folks, I really don't mean this to be harsh, but I honestly don't pay attention to very many pundits. Opinions are just that and I don't have an interest in hearing too many of them. So, when I refer to Never Trump people I'm specifically referring to people actually in politics. Finding some dude on the internet somewhere who I guess is NT and had an opinion is pretty meaningless to me because I just don't pay attention to very many of those types.

Humbled by the value of friendship this week. When I look back on 2020 the thing that stands out for me is the realization of just how important a few close relationships can be. And that is a tough thing to learn for an extreme introvert like myself who has always been self reliant.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant long form profile of DeSantis by @Mdixon55, @fineout, @michaelkruse.

As someone who worked for his BFF & was around the two of them, they got this spot on.

"The Governor Who Holds Trump’s Fate in His Hands" politi.co/35ELmrk via @politico The comparisons between DeSantis & Mast are extraordinary. Nakedly ambitious. Self absorbed. 100% transactional. Aloof. One way loyalty. Very robotic emotionally. It's no wonder they're tight. Or, are they really?

Folks, I hate to be *that guy* but there's nothing brave about doing drugs and openly committing adultery on your wife at the exact same time seeking the governor's mansion. Sorry. He lied about it and covered it up. His handlers lied about it and covered it up. Journalists knew something and never followed up. Now we're gonna make this con man a hero? Politics sucks.

I do appreciate just how morally superior many of my democratic friends feel at the moment. I would just caution you that ignoring the growing extremist movement in your base will eventually come bite you in the ass. See, tea party 2010. Folks, replying back with a tone of moral superiority may not be making the point you think you are making.

I get to spend the entire weekend with my son and feel incredibly blessed. Which I really need right now. I've been trying to explain to my son that life goes by really fast. My life is pretty shitty right now. I'm 45 and don't remember things happening so quickly. My career is in the shitter. People who meant the world to me no longer do.
