Themelios published a bad review of Amy Peeler's new book. Some people seem surprised. I am not. I have experience and receipts.
Several years ago, they sent me a book for review. I wrote a review. They rejected the review and stated four reasons for their rejection.
1/5
Their 'reasons' were quite transparently weak, and I responded directly to each and asked pointed questions. I did not receive answers to my questions. Instead I was told that 'we decided that your review from an Arminian perspective would fit better in another publication'
2/5

1/ Just listened to a talk by a senior-level prof at an important Reformed seminary. He claims that there are 'essentially two versions' of the doctrine of salvation: 'either Xp came and died to make salvation possible to those who meet some condition such as faith, obedience...
2/5 'or he came to accomplish the complete redemption of all his elect.' That's it... just these two, and starkly opposed.
This is a very confused caricature. Just what is the Reformed obj to the first? Surely he isn't suggesting that salvation was possible apart from Xp.
