This morning, I circulated a House legislative sponsorship memo announcing my intent to introduce the new Pennsylvania Reliable Energy Sustainability Standard (PRESS). 🧵 Image Twenty years ago, PA led the nation by establishing the AEPS, which successfully promoted cleaner & more sustainable forms of energy generation. However, PA has now fallen behind other states in the race to diversify energy sources & create clean, reliable, & affordable energy.

On Jan. 3, the DEP lifted a statewide permit bar after reaching a Consent Order and Agreement with ETC Northeast Pipeline, the Energy Transfer subsidiary responsible for the 2018 explosion in Beaver County that leveled a house and barn.
