🧵I just voted to pass a Continuing Resolution and avoid a government shutdown. Here's a short thread to explain why:
This CR is not perfect, but a shutdown would be worse. Even a brief shutdown would introduce even more chaos and uncertainty at a time when our country can ill-afford it.

This version of the Build Back Better Act is not the best deal for my constituents.

To start: tax billionaires and stop tax giveaways to millionaires.
Many billionaires pay $0.00 in income taxes. Why wouldn't we tax them? @RonWyden has a good proposal that has been considered for this bill.
