JFC Republicans want to put $350m that should go to K-12 Education into the Budget Stabilization Fund instead of directly to DPI & schools. This plan puts federal COVID aid for our schools at risk, & even worse — there is no guarantee that it will ever actually go to our kids 1/ After this $350m goes into the Budget Stabilization Fund, there is no requirement that it later be used for education. If do want to spend it, the Legislature would need to pass a brand-new bill appropriating that money. 2/
