I pray the IDF operation in Jenin to dismantle terrorist infrastructure is swift and successful, with minimal casualties, loss of life or property. Terrorists must not have safe haven in Jenin or anywhere else in the West Bank. 1/ For months, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas and other terrorist groups, with the help of Iran, have been using Jenin as a base to launch attacks against civilians in Israel.

Last Wednesday, after narrowly escaping a violent mob incited by the President of the United States to attack the Capitol and its occupants, I was forced to spend several hours in a secure but confined location with dozens of other Members of Congress.

On January 6th, the President of the United States incited a violent mob of anarchists and seditionists to storm and attack the Capitol, defiling the People’s House, the temple of our democracy. These domestic terrorists were specifically seeking to bring harm to the Vice President, Speaker of the House, and the whole of the Congress.
